3 Tips to Filling Yoga Classes even in the Covid Crisis

Right now, we have all been forced into an unprecedented situation through the coronavirus pandemic.

Yoga teachers have made a huge pivot by taking teaching yoga online. Some have finally got going with a long-held desire and others have felt massively thrown by it.

Social media became very noisy with the plethora of online yoga classes available and teachers have blamed the saturation of offerings as the reason for their low-class numbers.

Teachers speak to me of feeling overwhelmed and worrying that unless you are a yoga influencer with thousands of followers, who will be interested?

But, it’s not that simple. If you know how to market classes even in this crisis, you can still have an abundance of students. You can still be you and teach what lights you up.

Without lowering prices or giving away free classes.

It’s wonderful if you are offering low cost or free classes to support people but if you are struggling with lack of money then the balance is off.

Here are three hacks that will help to put you back in the driver seat of your yoga business

3 Tips to switch up your yoga business

Stop hiding behind a logo – You may have spent lots of time creating a lovely logo but, how often do you book a class or sign up to something when you don’t know who will be teaching? When I started teaching, friends from the corporate world told me I needed to have a logo to look professional but what I’ve found is that people need to connect and feel trust before signing up. How can you introduce yourself?

Drop the drop in only – Without any class package/course offers you are unable to plan ahead and always worrying if anyone will show up. Give your students the incentive to commit to a regular practice with you and have a steadier income.

Don’t try to reinvent the wheel – Do more of what’s working for you. Instead of trying to always come up with new things to attract students what is already working? Look at your engagement through social media and your emails.

Even in these testing times, you have the ability to create a sustainable yoga career that you love with students who love your unique approach.
